As hard as it can be to admit, we are not made to be in perpetual motion, and I was reminded of that fact this year, when a combination of changes in my personal life and general burnout forced me to slow down and not create at the level I have sustained previously. I am choosing to look at this time as a gift, however—time spent at rest helps me hear the call of the Ground of all Being even clearer, and when I am able to pursue this call in my photography, I am usually pleased with the results. Just because this is an off-year for me doesn’t mean that it’s a bad one, and I am excited to find out what else I’ll get to see as the year unfolds further!
