2025
In 2025 I used the techniques and clarity of purpose that I achieved in 2024 to push myself in new directions, most notably in my year-long phone photography project, where I returned to my original medium with a new eye, blurring the lines between instinct and formalism as I expanded the scope of the Ordered World. I continued to shoot film as well, and the push and pull between these two distinctly different ways of making images yielded a range of strong photos that I am proud to have taken, even if I am not sure how they all fit together yet. Transitionary moments in my work like this are often chaotic and messy, but I know that I came out of 2025 a stronger artist once more, eager to see what else will be revealed to me in years to come!
